Back in my college days, I had a friend named Andy who was planning a trip to Florida for spring break. Spring break was in April, and around March Andy decided to start hitting the gym toe get his beach body going. I used to play it live, solo acoustic style, if you can believe that. And once I did it live with an impromptu band that consisted of me on guitar and vocals, my buddy Jay Farnsworth on guitar, and a guy I only knew as Sticks on bass. No drummer, though you'd think a guy named Sticks would be a drummer. We called ourselves The Trees. I might have a recording of that gig somewhere.
This recording features myself on everything but the saxophone, which is expertly played by Mr. Dennis Landeen. This is probably my first attempt at playing drums.
